Forten has been on the cutting edge of developing Aramid Composites for over twenty years. Forten combines the tremendous durability of Aramid fibers with high performance polyamide filaments that produces a quality blend of these quality materials for high performance.

Aramid fibers are an aromatic polyamide material containing aromatic and amide group. Forten has developed a unique method of combining Aramid fibers with resilient polyamide copolymer filaments. The result is a tremendous durable string that affords a higher degree of playability than typically found in Aramid strings.

Aramid fibers are noted for strength and extreme durability. They behave elasticity in tension with fibrous structure contributing to notching resistance. Aramid fibers are highly durable and ideal for reinforcing racquet strings.

Players wanting more durability without sacrificing good spin and control will love Aramid GEAR. The Aramid GEAR main string combines the tremendous durability of Aramid fiber with the revolutionary sharp gear teeth that bite the ball and create unbelievable spin and control.

Aramid Composite 16G

Gauge: 16G/1.30mm

The durability of Aramid fiber is combined with the responsive playability of a high grade polyamide. The low elongation and high tensile strength of Aramid fiber prevent abrasion resulting in longer string life.

Aramid Composite 17G

Gauge: 17G/1.20mm

Aramid Composites is usually combined with other soft strings to reduce the string bed stiffness. We recommend lowering the string tension of mains by 15% of the tension that a player would require a string comprised of exclusively to achieve an optimum playability.
